HFC provides respite in-home care relief to families affected by Alzheimer’s.

Hilarity for Charity and the Home Instead Senior Care network are working together to award in-home care grants to those providing care to their loved ones living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias. Hilarity for Charity is proud to have awarded over 222,900 hours of in-home respite care across the United States and Canada.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Relief Grant Program

The goal of the HFC Home Care Grant is to provide exceptional in-home care relief to families affected by this disease and to give these families support and rest. For more information:

Eligibility, Guidelines and Next Steps:

To be eligible, the caregiver(s) or loved one living with Alzheimer’s & Dementia must fit within the following criteria:

  • Currently living at home with Alzheimer’s disease or related Dementia.
  • Caregiver(s) is facing financial and emotional hardships due to the unique challenges of Alzheimer’s or related Dementia.
  • Resides in the United States or Canada.

 
The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Relief Advisory Board will be looking for key indicators such as:

  • Diagnosis
  • Financial need
  • Emotional need
  • Access to social support
  • Detailed application
    **Please be as detailed as possible.

 
Next Steps:

  1. The Advisory Board will review applications on a bimonthly basis.
  2. Within 60 days of the application submission date, applicants will be contacted via email.
  3. All applicants will be notified of their status.
  4. Only one application per person will be accepted on a quarterly basis.
